FLSA...or Nay?

December 1st was supposed to be the effective date of the controversial Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) changes. As the proverbial clock approached midnight, everything changed. Although the Obama administration published the ruling on May 18th, no formal roadblocks appeared until November 22nd, when a federal judge in Texas issued a preliminary injunction challenging the FLSA updates. According to Robert Baylor of WorldatWork, the injunction “placed the overtime rule compliance deadline on hold across the nation.” The question is, where does that leave HR leaders?
